About
On December 16, 2013, Hansol was introduced as one of the newest members of SM Entertainment's pre-debut team SMROOKIES. On July 24, 2014, he was included in his label mate, J-Min's music video for "Shine". It was then assumed in 2017 that Hansol had left SM following the creation of his Instagram account.
The fact was further confirmed in October 2017 through his participation in The Unit. It was also revealed that he had signed with J-FLO Entertainment. On November 2, 2017, a 90-second self-PR clip was released for Ji Hansol on The Unit.
His performance was revealed on the November 11 episode of The Unit where he received a super boot, making him an official contestant of the show. He was then a part of the male center group for the show's theme song "My Turn". On November 28, J-FLO Entertainment announced that they would be debuting a new boy group called Newkidd.
They also announced that the group would be releasing a pre-debut single as a sub-unit with Hansol as one of the members. They officially released their first pre-debut single "Will You Be Ma" under the name Newkidd - Lemme Spoil U. On the January 13, 2018, episode, Hansol was revealed to be a part of the first place male team and will perform on Music Bank as a result.
The final episode was aired on July 10, where he ranked sixth place, making him a member of UNI+ B, a tentative name for the boy group. He then debuted on April 7, 2018 with UNB's first mini album Boyhood. On July 11, Hansol was introduced as one of the members of Newkidd's second sub-unit Newkidd02.
They then released the pre-debut single album "Boy Boy Boy" on July 25. On January 27, 2019, UNB officially disbanded following the conclusion of their final Japanese concert. On April 18, 2019, Newkidd finally released news of their official debut along with individual teasers.
Hansol then officially made his debut with the group on April 25.
