Choi Jiann

In 2017, Jiann, then known as Choi Jae Woo, was a contestant on the survival program Produce 101 Season 2 representing RBW. He was eliminated in the fifth episode where his final rank was 97th place. On July 11, Jiann was introduced to be one of the two newest members of Newkidd through the sub-unit Newkidd02.

They released the preview single album "Boy Boy Boy" on July 25, 2018. On April 18, 2019, Newkidd finally released news of their official debut along with individual teasers. Jiann then officially made his debut with the group on April 25.
