On November 28, 2017, J-FLO Entertainment announced that they would be debuting a new boy group called Newkidd. They also announced that the group would be releasing a pre-debut single as a sub-unit with Woochul as one of the members. They officially released their first pre-debut single "Will You Be Ma" under the name Newkidd - Lemme Spoil U.
On July 11, 2018, Woochul was introduced as one of the members of Newkidd's second sub-unit Newkidd02. They then released the pre-debut single album "Boy Boy Boy" on July 25, 2018. On April 18, 2019, Newkidd finally released news of their official debut along with individual teasers.
Woochul then officially made his debut with the group on April 25. On April 11, 2022, Woochul was revealed as one of the Korean members, alongside Yunmin, of an upcoming Thai-Korean boy group [https://tpop. fandom.
com/wiki/THE7 THE7]. The boy group would be formed through Thai survival show Seven Stars, which started airing on July 2, 2022. The group debuted on January 29, 2023 with the single album "Get Loose".
