On March 14, 2019, Minwook (then known as Lee Dongwook) debuted in the project boy group The T-Bird under OD Entertainment, with their first digital single "Rock Star". On July 28, 2022, Minwook was announced as a new member of the boy group Newkidd. As of 2024, he has yet to make his official debut in the group.

In January 2024, he was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor.
