On June 28, 2023, Sion, alongside Yushi, were revealed as the newest members of SM Entertainment's trainee team SMROOKIES and future members of NCT WISH. They released their pre-debut single "Hands Up" on October 19, 2023 and debuted on February 21, 2024 with the single "Wish".
