On August 17, 2023, Jaehee, then known as Daeyoung, was revealed as a contestant of SM Entertainment's NCT Universe : LASTART. He ranked 3rd, thus making him a member of NCT WISH. They released their pre-debut single "Hands Up" on October 19, 2023 and debuted on February 21, 2024 with the single "Wish".
