On November 12, 2017, he was revealed as a member of the Japanese boy group EDAMAME BEANS. On June 28, 2023, Yushi, alongside Sion, were revealed as the newest members of SM Entertainment's trainee team SMROOKIES and future members of NCT WISH. They released their pre-debut single "Hands Up" on October 19, 2023 and debuted on February 21, 2024 with the single "Wish".
