In August 2022, Kia was revealed as a member of Shinwha's upcoming girl group, GLX. However, in late August, Kia withdrew due to personal reasons. As of mid-2023, she was no longer a trainee under Shinwha Entertainment.
Afterward, she was active as a model in South Korea, based in Seoul. On December 29, 2023, she, along with former GLX member Zixer, were assumed to have joined an upcoming independent girl group Tr! xie as they started following each other on Instagram.
Unfortunately, the group presumably disbanded on March 12, 2024 after all of Tr! xie's SNS accounts were deleted. On November 11, 2024, it was discovered that she joined Na Entertainment and had become a member of the upcoming girl group, DE:VA.
