On July 31, 2020, she made her debut as a member of the girl group Blastar under the stage name Seowoo with the digital single "One Way". The group disbanded on December 24, 2020 after they announced the termination of their contracts with their agency. However, it appeared that Seowoo had stayed under VH Entertainment even after their disbandment as she was still listed as the company's artist.

On November 13, 2022, she was revealed as the fourth member of the upcoming girl group Clear:i under the stage name Jiyu. On July 24, 2024, it was announced that the group would be making their debut on July 31 with the single album "Quest".
