On November 10, 2022, Yuyeon was revealed as the first member of the group, followed by Eunsul on November 11, Do Hayoon on November 12, Jiyu on November 13, and Seonu on November 18. On December 2, 2022, Clear:i revealed that they are a self-producing group. On May 27, 2023, Clear:i announced that Seonu would be leaving the group due to her health condition.
On December 14, 2023, they revealed a new member, Sang. On July 24, 2024, the group announced that they would be making their debut on July 31 with the digital single "Quest" and subsequently re-introduced Yuyeon as the group's first member, followed by Eunsul on July 25, Do Hayoon on July 26, Jiyu on July 27, and Sang on July 28. On August 29, it was announced that Eunsul had departed from the group.
On June 10, 2025, Clear:i posted a new group photo that notably omitted member Yuyeon and unveiled an unconfirmed new member. The post also revealed new stage names, Seola and Yuel, with one belonging to Sang. On July 3, the group officially confirmed Yuyeon's departure.
