On September 8, Yunseo was featured in the trailer for the show My Teenage Girl, confirming her participation. For the entrance exam, she performed "Ice Cream" by BLACKPINK and she passed with 3 votes from the judges. Unfortunately, she was eliminated in the twelfth and final episode, which aired on February 27, 2022, with her final rank being 12th.

On May 5, she was revealed as one of the members for BPM Entertainment's upcoming girl group BADVILLAIN, before being officially introduced on May 17. The group debuted on June 3 with the single album "Overstep".
