On January 7, 2010, he debuted as a member of ZE:A with their first single album "Nativity". On June 17, 2013, he debuted as a member of ZE:A's second sub-unit ZE:A 4U with the Japanese mini album Oops!! ~ アプサ!!
~. On January 21, 2015, he debuted as a part of ZE:A's third sub-unit ZE:A J with the single album "Roulette". On January 6, 2017, his contract with Star Empire Entertainment expired and he decided to not renew.
On September 19, it was officially announced that he had departed from the agency to embark on independent activities. Despite this, he was still a member of ZE:A as they went on an indefinite hiatus. On October 5, 2020, he debuted as one half of the trot duo 1989 with the digital single "Chirit Chirit", under his full name Kim Tae Heon.
On February 21, 2025, he announced plans for his new start as an actor. On August 22, he announced his solo debut with the digital single "For Mama", set for release on the 29th.
