On May 20, 2021, Yedam was revealed as a contestant for SBS's audition show LOUD. During the tenth episode, which was aired on August 7, he received the casting offer from both P Nation and JYP Entertainment, but ended up accepting the casting offer from P Nation. He was eliminated in round 7.
On December 29, 2022, he was introduced as a contestant of Mnet's survival show Boys Planet, representing LM Entertainment. On March 23, 2023, he was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 36th place. On October 6, ARMADA Ent introduced Lee Ye Dam as the fourth member of their upcoming boy group ONE PACT.
They made their debut on November 30, 2023 with the mini album Moment.
