On September 19, 2021, Jongwoo, then known as Ze:U, was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group Black Level. They debuted on February 26, 2022 with the mini album New-Start. On November 29, 2022, VT Entertainment announced that he, along with Uin, Younghoon and Taeyoung have decided to leave the group to pursue their idol dreams seperately.
On December 29, Jongwoo was introduced as a contestant of Boys Planet, which aired on February 2, 2023. He ranked 18th place overall in the finale episode, thus being unable to debut with ZEROBASEONE. On September 27, ARMADA Ent announced that they will be debuting their first boy group named ONE PACT in the second half of 2023, with Jongwoo introduced as the first member.
They made their debut on November 30, 2023 with the mini album Moment.
