On August 13, 2021, he was introduced as the 43rd contestant of the survival show Wild Idol. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the third episode and was unable to make it further in the show. On December 29, Jiho was introduced as a contestant of Boys Planet.
The first episode aired on February 2, 2023. On March 2, he was eliminated in episode 5 after ranking 55th place. In June and July 2023, he performed as a special guest at Kamden's fanmeetings in Seoul and Macau.
On September 5, FNC Entertainment announced that they were planning to launch a new boy group, later revealed to be named AMPERS&ONE, in November 2023. Jiho and fellow Boys Planet contestant Kamden were confirmed as members of the group. On October 18, Jiho was officially introduced as a member of AMPERS&ONE.
They debuted on November 15, 2023 with the single album "Ampersand One".
