On September 5, 2023, FNC Entertainment announced plans to launch a new seven-member boy group in early 2024. However, on September 26, 2023, they announced the debut had been moved earlier to November 2023. In the same press release, they confirmed Boys Planet contestants Kamden and Jiho as members of the new group.
On October 18, Jiho was formally introduced as the first member of the group, followed by Mackiah on October 19, Siyun on October 20, Brian on October 21, Kyrell on October 22, Seungmo on October 23, and Kamden on October 24. On October 25, 2023, it was announced that they would debut with their first single album "Ampersand One" on November 15. On March 6, 2024, the group released a teaser for their second single album "One Hearted", set for release on March 26.
On September 24, it was reported that AMPERS&ONE will be coming back with their first mini album in October. On October 7, the group announced their first mini album One Question, set to be released on October 22. The group's first fan meeting, '&Dear.
My First _', was held at the Howon Art Theater in Seoul on November 23, 2024. In January 2025, AMPERS&ONE toured their '&Dear. My First _' fan meeting in Singapore, Macau and Taipei.
This was followed by their first US tour, held from February 17 to March 18. Two days after the final show of their US tour, the group announced their second mini album Wild & Free, set to be released on April 8. On July 25, it was reported that AMPERS&ONE would be coming back with a new album in August.
On July 27, the group announced that they will be releasing their third mini album Loud & Proud, set to be released on August 12. In late August, it was announced that the group would be opening for FNC labelmates P1Harmony on the US dates of the P1ustage H: Most Wanted tour, from September 27 to October 21. On March 17, the group started teasing their upcoming release.
On March 19, AMPERS&ONE announced their fourth mini album Definition, set for release on April 8.
