On October 31, 2014, she was teased as the fourth member of TS Entertainment's new girl group SONAMOO. TS Entertainment also announced a competition where fans could submit ideas for her stage name. On November 19, it was announced that her stage name would be D.

ana, which means the Goddess of the moon. She debuted as a member of SONAMOO on December 29, 2014 with the group's first mini album Deja Vu. On September 13, 2021, she confirmed on Instagram that she has departed from TS Entertainment and the group.
