In October 2013, she joined the girl group Delight as a late addition under the stage name SooA. She made her official debut with the girl group with the release of their second mini album School Bell's Ringing. She presumably left the group in 2014.
After leaving Delight, she became a trainee at NAP Entertainment but left after a year as she didn't make it into the debut group. As plans fell through, she presumably left the group with the remaining members during their inactive period. In 2017, she was introduced as a pre-debut member of FLASHE.
However, she ended up leaving prior to the release of "FLASHE Season Album" and never officially debuted in the group. She made her debut with the group on May 13, 2019 with the release of their fifth digital single "Oppa is Cheating". In January 2020, the group disbanded as the members decided to not renew their contracts with the agency.
In November, Soohyun was revealed as an upcoming contestant on the reality trot competitive show Trot Contest. She was eventually eliminated from the competition in Episode 5. On November 26, CMG Stars revealed that Soohyun would be the leader of their upcoming girl group MINIMANI.
She made her debut with the group on June 2, 2021 with the release of their first digital single "Stop". On February 14, 2023, it was announced that Soohyun would make her solo debut on March 1 with her first single album "Chuk & Chak", and a showcase titled "The Realization" on the same day.
