In October 2020, Nam Yuju was announced as an upcoming contestant in the 2020 teen competitive reality show, CAP-TEEN. Later on January 14, 2021, Yuju was revealed as a trainee of Evermore Entertainment's trainee girl group EVERMORE MUSE. On May 19, 2022, she participated at Stars Awakening survival show as a contestant.
Unfortunately she was eliminated on the seventh episode due to the failure to pass the third round. On March 21, 2024, Yuju was confirmed as a upcoming contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, I-LAND 2, along with the other participating trainees, through the performance video. Her official profile was released the next day.
Unfortunately, Yuju was eliminated in the finale, placing ninth and being unable to be part of I-LAND 2's debut group, izna. On September 8, 2025, Yuju was identified as a contestant on Mnet's survival show Unpretty Rapstar: HIP POP Princess through its teaser. A day later, she was officially revealed as a contestant.
During the show's finale, she was revealed to have ranked 1st overall, thus making her a member of H//PE Princess. H//PE Princess will be making their debut in the first half of 2026.
