On December 30, 2022, YG Entertainment unveiled a teaser poster announcing their plans to debut a new girl group. On January 1, 2023, the group's name was confirmed to be BABYMONSTER. Later that day, Chiquita's older brother, 789 SURVIVAL contestant Copper, revealed that she was a member of BABYMONSTER.
On January 23, Chiquita was introduced through a live performance as the third member of BABYMONSTER. They made their debut on April 1, 2024 with the mini album BABYMONS7ER.
