On January 2, 2026, AWU's official Instagram account opened, revealing their offcial logo. The same day, former PIXY members Lola and Dia revealed themselves to be the members of the female duo. On February 24, AWU released a visual prologue which revealed that U_Chae has been added to the lineup, making the duo into a girl group.
On March 27, 2026, AWU released a scheduler for their debut mini album Re:frame, scheduled for April 9. The scheduler also revealed that the group will also be having a pre-release digital single "Rose" on April 2.
