She debuted as a member of Apink on April 19, 2011 with the group's first mini album Seven Springs of Apink. On April 28, IST Entertainment announced that Chorong, Bomi, Namjoo, and Hayoung decided not to renew their contracts but will still maintain their activities as members of Apink. On that same say, it was announced that she, alongside Bomi, Namjoo and Hayoung, had signed exclusive contracts with Choi Creative Lab.

The agency detailed plans to support both the four members' individual activities and the future of Apink. On June 12, 2024, it was announced that Chorong will be releasing the digital single "Fallin'" as part of The PLAYlist project on July 2. On June 10, 2025, With US Entertainment announced they will take full responsibility for the managing of Apink Chorong, Bomi, Namjoo, and Hayoung.
