On February 11, 2011, through local news outlets, representatives from A Cube Entertainment revealed that Naeun would be member of their upcoming seven-member girl group, Apink, scheduled to debut in the first half of 2011. She appeared in BEAST's music videos for "Breath", "I Like You The Best", and "Beautiful". Six days later, BEAST's Yang Yoseop introduced Chorong as the second member and group's leader on his Twitter account with clips from the Japanese music video for "Shock", in which she appeared.
On February 21, A Cube Entertainment created an official Twitter account and revealed Hayoung through photos as the third member of Apink, alongside Chorong. On March 10, Eunji was introduced as the fourth member on agency's Twitter account through a video of her singing 's song "Love You I Do". Yookyung was similarly announced on the same day through an online video where she was playing the piano.
The following day, Bomi and Namjoo were last introduced through TrendE's reality show Apink News, making all the members public. Before the group's debut, this reality show premiered on March 11, chronicling the formation of Apink, and in each episode, an artist was invited to be the host. The week before Apink's official debut, they released their first television commercial for Ceylon Tea.

On the following day, A Cube Entertainment revealed the album's teaser video. On April 15, a teaser video for its title track "I Don't Know", featuring Lee Gikwang was released.
The group debuting with their first mini album Seven Springs of Apink, on April 19, 2011. Apink made their debut stage performance with "I Don't Know" on M Countdown on April 21 to promote their album. They also recorded the song "Let Us Just Love" for the SBS drama, ', released on August 3, 2011.
In November, Apink began recording a reality television show called ' with INFINITE. The mini album, along with its title track "My My", was released on November 22. Promotions for "My My" began on KBS' Music Bank three days later. On November 29, Apink received their first award, the Female Rookie Award, at the held in Singapore.
In December, Apink and BEAST released a music video of the song "Skinny Baby" for the school uniform brand Skoolooks. In January 2012, they received three more Rookie Awards, at the Korean Culture & Entertainment Awards, the Golden Disk Awards held in Osaka, and the High 1 Seoul Music Awards in Seoul. On April 23, 2013, A Cube announced that Yookyung would be leaving the group to focus on her studies.
On February 26, 2021, it was announced that Apink would be releasing a fan song to celebrate their 10th anniversary on April 19. The digital single was later revealed to be "Thank You" and the lyrics were co-written by member Bomi. On April 29, Play M Entertainment announced that all members renewed their contracts except for Naeun.
They added that she will remain a member of the group despite her departure from the agency. On December 22, a representative of IST Entertainment confirmed that Apink will be coming back in February 2023 with all six members. However, on January 17, 2022, IST Entertainment announed that Naeun will not be participating in the album promotions due to schedule conflicts.
On January 21, Apink dropped six individual teasers for their second special album Horn which was released on February 14. On April 8, Naeun shared a handwritten letter on Instagram in which she revealed that she had decided to part ...
