Taemi made her official acting debut in the 2011 Thai martial arts movie The Kick where she started as a supporting character. She adopted her character's name as her stage name (Tae Mi). On May 24, 2019, Taemi was revealed as one of the selected members of the 'K-Tigers' performance group who would get to debut in a co-ed group named K-TIGERS ZERO.
