On October 18, 2024, he was revealed as a contestant on JTBC's Project 7 but was unable to pass the survival round. On May 2, 2025, Yeon Tae was announced as a contestant on the SBS survival show B:MY BOYZ. During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 2nd overall, thus making him a member of YUHZ.
On September 1, Pinnacle Entertainment announced that Lee Yeon Tae had changed his stage name to Yeontae.
