In 2019, Eunsang participated in Mnet's boy group survival show Produce X 101 representing Brand New Music. He finished in the X place, thus becaming a member of X1. The group officially debuted on August 27, 2019 with the mini album, 비상 : Quantum Leap.
However, on January 6, 2020, the agencies representing the members announced the group has disbanded due to not being able to reach a unanimous agreement following the Produce 101 vote manipulation controversy. On August 13, 2020, it was announced that he would be making his solo debut on August 31 with the single album "Beautiful Scar". On August 16, 2021, it was announced that he would be making his first comeback with his second single album "Beautiful Sunshine".
On September 24, it was confirmed that Eunsang would be making his acting debut through the JTBC drama Idol: The Coup. The first episode aired on November 8 with the twelfth and final episode airing on December 14. On January 7, Eunsang was introduced as a member of the male trainee group BRANDNEWZ through a cover of Audrey Nuna's "Damn Right".
On February 15, he was introduced as a member of the boy group YOUNITE. They debuted on April 20, 2022 with the EP, Youni-Birth.
