On April 5, 2023, Takuma was introduced as LUN8's third member. They debuted on June 15, 2023 with their first mini album Continue?. On November 15, 2023, Fantagio announced that LUN8 would be debuting their first sub-unit with the members Takuma, Jun Woo, Do Hyun, Ji Eun Ho and Eun Seop.
The sub-unit debuted on November 22, 2023 with the release of their first digital single "Playground".
