He debuted as a member of IMFACT on January 27, 2016 with the single album "Lollipop". In late-2017, he became a contestant on KBS2 TV's reality survival show The Unit. On episode 13, he was eliminated with his final rank being 27th.
On January 4, 2022, Star Empire announced that Taeho and the members of IMFACT have parted ways with the agency. On May 5, 2024, it was announced that he signed with new agency HAM and will be releasing a new song on May 28. The name of the third digital single was later revealed to be, "For Your Brilliant Day".
On September 10, he announced that he will debut in Japan with the digital single "I Like You" on September 13. On September 13, it was reported that Taeho will be releasing a korean version of "I Like You" on October 2, also he will hold a duet concert with Hong Eunki. On December 22, he announced that he will be releasing the fourth digital single "Sweet Winter" on December 24.
On September 8, 2025, he announced his second (mislabeled as sixth) single album "Cok", set for release on September 16.
