On November 17, 2022, he was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group EASTSHINE. On February 20, 2023, he was introduced as a contestant on MBC's boy group survival show Fantasy Boys. He was eliminated in the second episode, which aired on April 7, 2023.
On August 14, he was introduced as a contestant on MBC M's boy group survival show Fan Pick. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the eighth and final episode, which aired on October 18, 2023. On October 18, 2024, he was revealed as a contestant on JTBC's Project 7 but was unable to pass the survival round.
On April 23, 2025, Goo Hyun was revealed as a member of BE BOYS. The group made their debut on June 18, 2025 with the mini album Be:1.
