On April 16, 2020, she joined Deep Studio Entertainment's trainee group YOURS under the name Haeseung, as evident by changing her Instagram username to include "your" and being followed by the group's official Instagram account. She was confirmed as a trainee on July 28, when a trainee profile card was released of her and a profile page was made for her on YOURS' website. She was one of the 12 trainees who got to take part in the release of YOURS' first digital single "My Memory Is YOURS", released on October 16, 2020.

On September 27, 2021, she announced on Instagram that she has left Deep Studio Entertainment and the group. Sometime in early 2022, Haeseung became a trainee at Inmedia, where she would be preparing for her debut that same year. On March 11, she was revealed as one of the members of Inmedia's new girl group WiTCHX under the stage name Mago, following the group's first ever public appearance at Expo 2020 Dubai concert.
