On July 7, 2021, Nientzu was confirmed as a upcoming contestant on Mnet's upcoming South Korean reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer. Her official profile was released on July 18. In the eighth episode, which was aired on September 24, it was revealed that Nientzu was unfortunately eliminated.
On March 20, 2023, Hsu Nientsu was revealed as the thirteenth member of the girl group tripleS. She will be going by stage name Nien (니엔) henceforth. On April 28, it was announced that Nien had been placed in LOVElution.
On November 24, it was announced that Nien had been placed in Aria. She made her debut as a tripleS member on May 8, 2024 with the album Assemble24|. On June 18, 2024, it was announced that Nien had been placed in Visionary Vision.
On September 7, 2025, Nien was placed in Neptune.
