On July 7, 2021, Kotone was confirmed as a contestant on Mnet's reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer. Her official profile was released on July 19. She was almost eliminated after the second round of auditions, but was saved by the planet pass, which was given by the planet masters.
Unfortunately, on the 11th episode, which was aired on October 15, Kotone was revealed to have been eliminated following the third round of eliminations. On January 2, 2023, Kotone was announced as the eleventh member of the upcoming girl group tripleS. On April 26, it was announced that Kotone had been placed in EVOLution.
The unit debuted on October 11, 2023 with the mini album EVOLution . She made her debut as a tripleS member on May 8, 2024 with the album Assemble24|. On June 16, it was announced that Kotone had been placed in Visionary Vision.
On August 25, it was announced that Kotone had been placed in ∞!. On September 8, 2025, Kotone was placed in Neptune.
