In 2015, she was a part of LOUDers Entertainment's pre-debut girl group Red-L, under the stage name Gayoung. However, for unknown reasons, the group disbanded pre-debut sometime in 2016. Around June 2019, she joined Chumchurum, under the stage name Gayoung.
She left the group sometime in 2020. In 2023, she joined Red Mint and officially made her debut in the group with the release of their third digital single "Dream".
