On August 14, 2021, Siyeon was introduced as an NMB48 Kenkyuusei. She was then transferred to Team BII Kenkyuusei on February 19, 2022 before being promoted to Team M on July 16. On June 30, 2023, Siyeon announced her graduation from NMB48 to be held in mid-August.
She plans to return to South Korea and pursue an idol career. Her final theater performance was held on August 8, 2023. On late August 2023, Siyeon was confirmed as the final member of the upcoming female band QWER.
She made her debut with the band on October 18, 2023 with the release of their debut single album, "Harmony from Discord".
