Sometime in early 2021, Ahryung joined GKMNEO as a trainee. Much later on December 7, Ahryung was revealed as a upcoming contestant on Purple Entertainment's newest survival reality show, rookie_find. The survival reality show was supposed to air in 2022; however, due to unknown factors, it was eventually cancelled.
On April 14, 2022, she was revealed as a member of GKMNEO's upcoming girl group, PBT. The group later renamed as MuuTive. They released their first pre-debut digital single "Ahha" on July 22, 2022.
However, the group silently disbanded sometime in May 2023 after they were removed from GKMNEO's official website, and Ahryung was listed as a solo artist under the company.
