On January 15, 2018, she was revealed as the 11th member of LOONA, after Chuu and before Olivia Hye. Her solo single album, titled "Go Won", was released on January 30, 2018. It featured title track "One&Only" and B-side track "See Saw" with Chuu and Kim Lip.
Go Won was officially revealed to be part of LOONA yyxy with Yves, Chuu and Olivia Hye, on April 27, 2018, through the "youth youth by young" teaser video. On May 30, 2018, Gowon debuted as a member of LOONA's third sub-unit, yyxy, with the mini album Beauty & The Beat. On August 20, 2018, LOONA debuted together as a full 12-member group with their first mini album + + that featured title track "Hi High" and several other B-side tracks.
In an article published by JTBC on November 28, it was revealed that Go Won and all LOONA members except Hyunjin and Vivi have reportedly filed a lawsuit to suspend their contracts with BlockBerryCreative due to their trust in the company being damaged. BlockBerryCreative denies all claims. On January 13, 2023, it was revealed that Go Won, along with Yves, HaSeul, Olivia Hye and YeoJin lost the trial against BlockBerryCreative for terminating their exclusive contracts.
On June 16, 2023, The Seoul High Court's 5th Civil Cases Division ruled in favor of her, along with Yves, HaSeul, Olivia Hye and YeoJin, to suspend their exclusive contracts with BlockBerryCreative. On July 5, 2023, it was reported that she, alongside YeoJin and HyeJu (Olivia Hye), had signed exclusive contracts with the new agency CTDENM. On August 2, 2023, she was revealed as a member of the girl group Loossemble.
They debuted on September 15, 2023 with the mini album Loossemble. On November 29, 2024, CTDENM announced that its exclusive contract with the Loossemble members had ended. On January 9, 2026, it was announced that Go Won has signed an exclusive contract with PLFIL.
Thorough this partnership, she plans to showcase new sides of herself across music, acting and global activities.
