In the summer of 2019, Liz became a trainee at Starship Entertainment after passing the agency's 'Pepsi Summer Open Audition'. On November 6, 2021, Liz was revealed as the fourth member of IVE. The group debuted on December 1, 2021 with the single album "Eleven".

On November 10, 2023, Starship Entertainment confirmed Liz to be part of the special collaboration single "Nobody" with (G)I-DLE's Soyeon and aespa's Winter. The single was released on November 16.
