On June 1, 2021, Kpop Live Entertainment revealed her to be the leader of Hi-L under the stage name Lee Jin. The group officially debuted on August 11, 2021 with the mini album Go High. Hi-L presumably disbanded in 2023.
On September 15, 2023, she released the song "먕! " on SoundCloud under the stage name CHERRYCHERRY. On October 21, 2024, she was confirmed as a contestant on PI Corporation and Makestar's reality show Time Turner under her birth name Sim Yerin.
Her unit, PICKME, ranked last in the third episode therefore eliminating her and the rest of her team. She returned to the competition the following episode by winning the Wildcard Round with the highest amount of votes. During the show's finale, she was revealed to have ranked 2nd overall, thus making her a part of the debut lineup of I.
MET. U. On November 3, 2025, I.
MET. U was introduced with the digital single "Velvet Trigger". The group will make their official debut in the first half of 2026.
