GIG were originally scheduled to make their debut in November 2020, however due to the departures of several pre-debut members, the debut had been postponed to sometime in 2021. Auditions were held throughout September 2020 to recruit additional members. The second member, Dodo, was introduced on March 14.
The third member, Line, was introduced on March 22. The fourth member, Yejin, was introduced on March 29. The fifth member, Bomin, was introduced on April 5.
The sixth and final member, Chaehee, was introduced on April 12. In January 2022, Yejin and Dodo left the group due to their absence on social media posts since February 2022. Since late March 2022, GIG has been inactive across their SNS accounts and no updates have been posted by their agency, hinting their disbandment.
