About
In January 2016, Sihyeon became a contestant on the survival show Produce 101 as an independent trainee. She was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 40th place. Following the show's conclusion, she signed with Yue Hua Entertainment.
In May 2018, she participated in Produce 48, where she was eliminated in episode 11 after ranking 27th place. On February 18, 2019, Yue Hua Entertainment revealed that Sihyeon and fellow Produce 48 contestant Wang Yiren would be debuting in the company's girl group EVERGLOW. That same day, Sihyeon was officially revealed as the group's first member.
EVERGLOW officially debuted on March 18 with the single album "Arrival of EVERGLOW". On February 7, 2020, Sihyeon was announced as one of the new hosts for SBS' The Show, alongside Juyeon and Kim Min Kyu. Following the release of EVERGLOW's third single album Last Melody, it had been announced that the leadership position, originally held by E:U, would be passed onto Sihyeon.
