On September 30, 2023, EVA Entertainment posted a 'Coming Soon' teaser to their official Instagram account, hinting at a new artist. Later that same day, another teaser revealed that their new girl group would be called eite. On October 1, the group's first member, Yujin, was introduced, followed by Yuisa on October 2, Sia on October 3, Chaehyun on October 4, Rena on October 5, Ari on October 6, and Reo on October 7.
On November 2, 2023, eite officially made their debut with the digital single album "Independent Woman". On August 18, 2024, EVA Entertainment announced that eite Season 1 had ended and all of the original members had terminated their contract with the agency and departed from the group. They also announced that a new lineup would be recruited for eite Season 2.
