In November 2010, HWIAD Entertainment announced the first three members of their then-upcoming five-member girl group: Kim Seulmi, Park Eunji and Park Semi. For unknown reasons, only Kim Seulmi remained in the group. On May 17, 2011, EI-YO, now consisting of the members Kim Seulmi, Shim Eunmi and Oh Hana, made their debut with the digital single "EI-YO Engine Start".
Shortly after their debut, Oh Hana left the group and was replaced by new member Jin Jisu in June. However, Jisu never officially made her debut in the group as they silently disbanded sometime in the same year. Following the disbandment of EI-YO, the members went their separate ways: - Kim Seulmi joined the girl group BTswing under the stage name Baby Kimi.
The group made their debut with digital single "Rescue 101" on March 16, 2012. However, she left the group later that year. - Jin Jisu debuted as a member of Nep with the release of their first and only digital single "DoRaDoRa".
The group presumably disbanded in December of the same year due to inactivity. The circumstances of the other members are currently unknown.
