Karin was introduced as one of the original WishGirls trainees alongside ChaeY in the group's first pre-debut single "Wish For You" under the name Yerin. On October 15, a dance teaser was released for Karin's upcoming pre-debut single "Ka Ka Ka", announcing what seems to be the last of WishGirls' pre-debut solos. The music video was released on October 24, followed by the single on November 1.
She made her official debut as a member of CRAXY on March 3, 2020 with the group's first studio album My Universe.
