Initially as a three-member girl group, Cooki debuted on October 5, 1998 under Jiwoo Entertainment to release their first studio album, Wait For You.... with members U. Na, You.
Ji and Min. I. The girl group went inactive for two years, during which time You.
Ji and Min. I departed from the girl group. Only member U.
Na remained. By 2000, the girl group moved to a new agency Dream Scape Entertainment. Out of 2000 auditioners three new members were recruited to reform the girl group, namely Irang, Inyoung and Jini.
The new members trained along with U. Na together for 6-7 months. At first, leader U.
Na admitted they fought often, but after some time they all grew as close as sisters. On November 2, 2000, they released their second studio album, First Love. The group disbanded in 2001 due to unknown reasons.
