The group debuted in January 2009 under Castle J Entertainment with their first mini album Lady Garden and the title track "Survivable". On June 9, Chae Rin recorded a digital single called "I Have Someone Else" with solist Ilac. Brand New Day made a comeback on June 16 with the single "Mascara".
Later that same month they released the song "어떡하죠" as part of the OST for the drama '. Their last release was the digital single called "Soulmate" on July 27. Later they were listed under a new company, Wannabe Management.
However, the group is presumed to have silently disbanded later that year, as they went inactive. In 2011, Soo Ah debuted as a soloist under the stage name Geum Dan Bi.
