On May 16, 2011, Blady held their first showcase and released their pre-debut single "Spark Spark". On July 27, they officially made their debut with the digital single "Blady 1st Time Crazy Day". The lineup consisted of Bunhong, Darae, Sunyoung and Kangyoon.
Their company, SY6 Entertainment, also announced plans to add three more members to the group, intending to make them a seven-member act. The plan included releasing one digital single for each new member addition, culminating in the release of a full-length album once the group reached seven members. Following the news, the group started to promote as a five-member group.
In mid-2012, they began performing a new song titled "Popeye", which was expected to be their next release. By the end of 2012, they are presumed to have entered a hiatus due to little to no activity. After almost one year of inactivity, Blady made their first comeback with a new lineup and their second digital single, "Blood Type B Girl" on November 18, 2013.
This marked the beginning of the group's second generation as original members Bunhong, Darae, Sunyoung, and the previously added member Nahyun, appeared to have left the group and were replaced by Coco, Yeji, Soojin, and Tina. With this, their previous concept of gradually expanding the group into a seven-member act, along with the anticipated comeback song "Popeye", was abandoned. On March 14, 2014, the group's first sub-unit, Blady Soul, consisting of Soojin and Yeji, was announced.
The single "Please Don't Leave Me" was released the same day to celebrate White Day. In late 2014, Coco, Kangyoon and Yeji left the group. In March 2015, it was revealed that member Soojin had left Blady.
The same month, four new members, Giru, Gabin, Dayoung and Yeeun, were announced to have joined the group. On March 30, Blady returned with their first mini album Renovation. On July 27, they released their third digital single "Secret Number.
" In March 2016, their company announced a crowdfunding project via MAKESTAR to support member Giru's solo debut. On April 29, 2016, she officially debuted with the digital single "Blady Solo Part. 1".
On October 20, 2017, the group disbanded after the members posted their farewell messages on Instagram.
