On January 16, 2026, 4X4 Creative announced the third 4X4 Project, a five-member group named AFuture, which will be debuting in March. On February 12, it was announced that the dance crew 4X4 CREW will be launching the girl group, composed of members Seoyeon, Minji, Yire, Youngeun, and Jisoo. They will be debuting with "4X4 Project 3" on March 14, before releasing their second digital single "4X4 Project 4" on March 28.
On February 18, through a time table, AFuture revelead that "4X4 Project 4" will ultimately be released on March 21.
