In April 2015, the group began promoting at various events with a five-member lineup, consisting of Yerin, Darum, Jinah, Youjin, Seora, and revealed plans for their debut in May. However, Yerin left shortly after this and the group carried on as four. On September 11, ACE made their debut with the digital single "Falling Out".
Shortly after their debut, the group received offers to perform in China and Southeast Asia and promptly began their promotional activities there. In April 2016, it was reported that Darum, Jinah, Youjin and Seora had left Worthy Entertainment and signed with Chinese company LT Entertainment. However, the agency allegedly did not take responsibility for the members and created a new group called AOG instead, consisting of completely different members and used ACE’s music video for promotions without permission, claiming it to be their own.
After the original lineup's departure, Worthy Entertainment revealed plans to recruit new members for ACE and replaced ACE's photo on their website with the silhouette of a six-member lineup. However, Worthy Entertainment presumably shut down in late 2016 and plans for the group were cancelled altogether. Following the disbandment of ACE, all the members went their separate ways: - Yerin debuted as a member of FLASHE in 2017 with "FLASHE Season Album" and stayed until their disbandment in 2020.
In 2021, she became active as an actress, under the stage name Seol Haim. - Jinah re-debuted as a member of Blue Fox in 2018 with "I Believe I Can Fly", under the stage name Aria. She left the group sometime in 2019.
- Youjin re-debuted as a member of BABA in 2017 with "Funky Music", under the stage name Jinri but left the group shortly after this. She later re-debuted as a member of Blue Fox in 2018 with "I Believe I Can Fly" and stayed until their disbandment in 2022. - Seora re-debuted as a member of H.
U. B in 2018 with "When A Blossom Day Of Cherry Blossom", under the stage name Seoryeong and stayed until their disbandment in 2019. - Eunbyeol joined Twinkle in April 2016 but their debut was cancelled.
She later joined Delight in 2020 but left during their hiatus. She also became active as a BJ on AfreecaTV, under the name BJ Pichu.
