In 2017, he participated on the idol rebooting project show The Unit. He was eliminated in episode 14 and finished in 28th place. On October 31, 2023, Heedo announced through his Instagram that his contract with GH Entertainment just ended.
On November 9, GH Entertainment announced that they are currently reviewing the legal possibility of extending Heedo's contract period for the time during which he had activities outside of B. I. G.
On September 26, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Project 7. On November 29, he was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 46th place. On March 18, 2025, FUTORE announced that Heedo would make a comeback on April 22.
On April 13, the scheduler for his second single "Nadu" was unveiled.
