He officially debuted as the keyboardist of South Korean rock band DAY6 on September 7, 2015. He made his solo debut with his first studio album Pilmography on February 7, 2022. On March 9, 2026, it was announced that Wonpil's first mini album Unpiltered will be released on March 30.
